Charlton Academy Superstar - Ademola Lookman
Ademola Lookman came through the Charlton academy and was sold to Everton in 2017.
This week ademola lifted the Europa League cup with Atalanta - scoring a hatrick to beat Bayer leverkusen 3-0. Previously the German team had been unbeaten for 50 games.
Ademola remains a Charlton Athletic. Favourite amongst fans. The fans affectionately remember the starlet coming through the ranks at the south London club.

Ezri Konsa
The former Charlton Academy graduate made his England debut against Brazil at Wembley on Saturday.
Konsa has been a mainstay in Aston Villa’s defence in the Premier League this season and has forced himself into the reckoning for the Euro 24 finals.
Konsa came on as sub for the injured Kyle Walker and despite the one nil reverse acquiited himself against a highly talented Brazil attack.

The Charlton Athletic first team group continues to have a number of academy players in its ranks. The number of academy players starting remains impressive and motivational to all young talent. However, a number of the young players are winning plaudits and accolades for their performances.
This includes Karoy Anderson who won Man of the Match for his performance last week in the Addicks fine away win at Derby County.

Aston Villa defender and ex-Charlton Academic graduate Ezri Konsa has been called into the England Squad for the games on 17 and 20 November.
Konza 26, won the Under-20 World Cup with England in 2017 and has helped his club side to fifth in the Premier League this season.

Southend United 5-0 Solihull Moors: Kanu’s a new king of Shrimpers
SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher hailed the performance of on-loan Charlton Athletic striker Daniel Kanu after his four goals sealed a five-star display against Solihull Moors.
Kanu ran riot to condemn Solihull to their first away defeat of the season at Roots Hall.

Charlton Athletic gave yet another academy graduate a full first team debut. Academy starlet Deji Elerewe made his first start against Oxford Utd. The game also saw a starting line up with 5 players aged under 22 tears old.The club continues to promote and believe in its youth system.

On Sunday 20 August Mason Burstow made a Premier League appearance for Chelsea off the bench at West Ham.

On Tuesday 8th August Charlton Athletic played in the EFL cup at Newport County. A further three academy graduates featured in the game. Zach Mitchel, Richard Chin and Daniel Kanu all started. Daniel Kanu scored in the 3-1 defeat.
Charlton Athletic continues to promote and showcase its academy talent in the first team. That is now no fewer than nine academy graduates starting in the first two games of the 23/24 season. Extraordinary.
News Update - 5/08/2023
On Saturday 5th August Charlton Athletic hosted Leyton Orient FC in a local London derby to mark the first game of the 23/24 season. Charlton Athletic won the match 1-0 and the first team included no fewer than 6 Charlton Athletic Academy graduates. Two of the academy graduates Asiimwe and Anderson made their full first team league debuts.
The Addick's track record of success in bringing talent through to the first team was proven yet again. Indeed, the pathways model adopted by First XI, Greenwich look to emulate and build-on Charlton Athletic's unrivalled record of success.
News update: 24 August 2023
Scunthorpe United is delighted to welcome Habib Makanjuola to the club. Vector Programme graduate was once an Under-17 World Cup winner with Nigeria in 2013, he was most recently contracted to Leicester City where he came through the ranks with Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi. He was handed a four-year deal with the side in 2017.
