Tim Fisher is the Chairman of
First XI, Greenwich
Tim was the Managing Director and Chairman of Coventry City Football Club for over ten years. The club was sold in 2023.
Tim is the investment manager of a global education fund which owns and operates schools and universities in both emerging and developed markets across the world. The fund is at the very forefront of sustainable and community focused education in an ever changing world ensuring all students, whatever their backgrounds, have a platform for learning and educational empowerment. By combining education and sport then student outcomes are not just defined by academic performance, critical thinking and problem solving but by character and resilience.
Before private equity fund management, Tim was the Global Head of Risk Management and Hedge Fund investments for a European investment bank.
Tim read engineering at Imperial College where he gained a prize winning First Class Honours undergraduate degree and Distinction in his subsequent postgraduate degree.
Tim has lived in Tokyo, Frankfurt and London.

Tim believes that
''As a person who has the held the most senior offices at a football club and therefore had the ultimate responsibility of creating and building value at a football club then I can state unequivocally that developing performance pathways for playing talent is the most valuable component of and the biggest value driver of a successful modern football club.
I have seen footballing talent rise through the ranks of the academy to the fringes of the first team and then onto to holding a regular place in the first team and then in the fullness of time to achieve an international call up. Indeed, through creating successful performance pathways at the club then I have had both the pride and pleasure of seeing talented players perform at their highest levels in both the Premier League and for their country. I am only too aware of the need to consistently progress the technical, physical and mental attributes of a player. Our Elite programme is designed to push student athletes through their own high performing levels towards attaining elite levels of performance.
Each student athlete should want to be the very best that they can be. The Elite Programme sets the student athlete on their very own performance pathway”
